Markus Mustonen
As being the drummer and the background singer in
Kent (oh yeah, he plays the grand piano too), it can be said that he is
a typical background type , he does not say too much. Born on january 20,
1973 in Eskilstuna as Markus Mikael Mustonen (nice initials by the way)
he is the son of finnish parents and has one sister. He studied to get
a job in the health care sector, he also had a job in the same health care
center as Jocke Berg, but in the same time he was playing in a band called
'Beds Of Flowers', who were singing about suicide....
In 1990 he promised Jocke Berg to follow him and
Martin Sköld. He was completely loaded when he promised, but it seems
he didn't do so bad after all. In 1991 he probably left 'Beds Of Flowers'
and concentrated completely on 'Jones & Giftet', that's what Kent was
called those days (see 'History').
He is addicted to buying little unnescassary stuff,
the other band members often ask themselves why he keeps on buying that
'junk'. He enjoys reading several newspapers a day and going on a walk
on his own, calling someone afterwards to go out with that night. As favourite
bands he names Depeche Mode, Radiohead and Kraftwerk, but he listens to
anything from Iron Maiden till even swedish jazz.
In 1995 (maybe 1996) he was close to death when he
felt into ice cold water during a kind of party with fellow swedish band
the Cardigans. He tried to balance on some wood in a lake and obviously
failed. Martin Sköld wondered that he did stay quite a while under
water... But as you can guess, he came up again and got rescued.

As having black hair and blue eyes, Markus is popular
with the female fans, but he doesn't see himself as a 'major babe'. Being
called like that is flattering, he thinks, but he doesn't think too much
about that, sometimes even get bored with it.
